A legal association had offered a large number of audio cassettes of lectures for attorneys to listen to in order to maintain their certifications. They were investigating other ways to distribute these lectures and became interested in providing the audio files online on a pay-to-listen basis. Users needed to have the ability to listen to the files without downloading them and be able to bookmark their location in a lecture before signing off.

We created a web site that allows subscribed users to stream the audio files from the site, thus avoiding the need (and time) to download the audio. In addition, all printed materials referred to during the audio presentation are available as PDFs for ready access by the user.

This program has been so successful that we are now creating a CD-ROM version of the courses. We will also be developing a series of lectures that, using streaming video, will allow users to see what is being discussed.
