A company had a new cellular-based product that needed to be installed in small spaces such as attics. Individuals who would be installing this product would already understand the technology but needed to know how to assemble it because various electronic tests had to be performed during the assembly process. |

We created a CD-ROM virtual simulation that showed the user how to assemble the product and also allowed them to build a virtual version. Users could drag and drop washers and wires and adjust dipswitches. A review section also quizzed them to make sure they understood which parts connected where. In addition, there were troubleshooting instructions and scenarios in case the product did not work properly after assembly. At the end of the training program, the end users had a full understanding
of the assembly process before they even opened the box.
